Homemade Laundry Soap

1 bar soap (you find in the laundry aisle like Zote)
Or any bar soap ; ivory, fels naptha, castille
1 cup borax
1 cup Washing Soda (arm and hammer)  "not baking soda"

Grate the complete bar soap add the cup of Borax and cup of Washing soda mix thoroughly . (Optional)
I will put it into my food processor to get it into smaller bits and make it more
Place in airtight container .

  • Small loads – use 1 tablespoon of powder per loads
  • Normal loads –  2 tbsps
  • Heavy loads – 3 tbsps
you can use this in front load washers also because this soap powder is not  very sudsy because there’s no sulfates in it.
you don't use all the borax and washing soda only a cup of each so you can make a lot more soap. The only one you have to buy over again is the zote or any bar soap
This soap does about 90 loads and will keep forever .
